Rodeo Valley Trail Run
Rodeo Valley Trail Run is a multi-distance trail event in the Marin Headlands at Rodeo Beach near Fort Cronkhite in Sausalito, California. The courses follow coastal single-track, dirt trails, and fire roads with steep climbs and sustained downhill sections, offering ocean views and occasional glimpses of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Wildlife in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area includes foxes, coyotes, and bobcats, with rare mountain lion sightings noted.
Distances and elevation:
- 50K : 30.8 miles, 5,750 ft elevation gain
- 30K : 18.8 miles, 3,500 ft elevation gain
- Half Marathon : 13.4 miles, 2,450 ft elevation gain
- 8K : 4.8 miles, 925 ft elevation gain
All races are chip timed using disposable chips on the back of each bib. Courses are marked with colored ribbons, laminated signs, and flour arrows at key turns; blue ribbons indicate wrong way. Aid stations provide a variety of foods and beverages and basic first aid supplies, with some product restrictions on National Recreation Area property. The event is cupless; runners must carry a reusable cup or bottle. Drop bag service is not available. Capacity is limited to 350 runners across all distances.
