Golden Gate Double 8K / Golden Gate 10K / Golden Gate 5K - Crissy Field, San Francisco
The event takes place on Sunday August 2, 2026 near the Golden Gate Bridge at Crissy Field in San Francisco, California. Three race options are offered:
- 10K
- 5K
- Double 8K (5K then a break then 3K)
The courses begin on historic Crissy Field near the Presidio. More than 80% of the route provides views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Course maps and a race video are available.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Sports Basement, 610 Old Mason Street, San Francisco, and there is same day packet pickup at the same address.
All participants receive a high-tech shirt and all finishers receive a special Golden Gate medal. Winners in the 5K, 10K and Double 8K are awarded trophies. Age-group winners receive special medals within ten-year divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The Double 8K carries $200 in prize money, split as $100 for the first man and $100 for the first woman. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
