Turkey Shuffle - Fort Worth
The Turkey Shuffle takes place at the Riverside Trailhead in Fort Worth, Texas. This event utilizes the city's parks and greenbelts, featuring courses that primarily follow paved trails. Depending on the route, participants may also encounter surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt paths.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 10k Run (6.22 Miles): A chip-timed race through the course.
- 5k Run (3.11 Miles): A chip-timed race through the course.
- 1 mile Run: A non-timed event for all ages.
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter sprint for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: A 6.22-mile remote option.
Participants can expect a festive environment featuring music from a DJ and a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments available after the finish. The event includes a Thanksgiving-themed costume contest where a trophy and prize pack are awarded for the most creative attire. Aid stations are positioned along the course to provide water to runners.
