Heroes and Villains Half Marathon - Fort Worth
The Heroes and Villains Half Marathon presented by Bigfoot Running Company is a multi-distance running event held at Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. Races take place on local park and greenbelt trails with mostly paved sections and some crushed granite and dirt. Aid stations are available along the courses. The event proceeds rain or shine.
Race offerings include:
- Kids Dash, 50 meters, untimed, ages 10 and under, includes race tee, medal, and recognition pin
- 1 Mile Fun Run, untimed, open to all ages
- 5K, chip timed
- Quarter Marathon, 6.55 miles, chip timed
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, chip timed
- Virtual Half Marathon option
- Volunteer then Run option combining volunteer service with a chip timed 5K entry
All finishers in every distance receive a medal and a shirt. Standard awards for chip timed races include Bigfoot trophies for 1st overall male and female, masters recognition pins, and gold, silver, and bronze pins for the top three in each age group. A costume contest is held prior to the races with prizes such as a $25 gift card, a free future race entry, and a themed prize pack.
