Fort Worth Oktoberfest 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Fort Worth Oktoberfest is a Run Project event taking place in Fort Worth, TX on September 26, 2026. The event offers two distances and course routes that run along the Trinity Trail with fairly flat terrain and views of the surrounding area. A USATF certified 5K course map is available.
Participants receive event swag that includes a commemorative Oktoberfest beer stein and a three day e-ticket to the Fort Worth Oktoberfest festival. Race apparel and finisher items listed for the event include a Fort Worth Oktoberfest lederhosen race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom race-specific bib.
The event program features several contests and community elements such as a costume contest, a largest team contest, and a stein hoisting competition. Awards are given for 1st through 3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top three male and female finishers across standard age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus; awards must be claimed in person and will not be mailed.
Packet pickup is scheduled on multiple days at local running stores and at the race venue. Volunteer roles are listed for course support, packet distribution, water stops, and load-in/load-out.
