Event Overview
The Rodeo Stampede - Fort Worth is a running event with a Texas rodeo theme. It will be held at Marine Creek Lake.
Race Distances
The event includes several distance options:
- Kids Dash (approximately 50 meters, for children 10 and under)
- 1 Mile run
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) There is also a Volunteer then Run 5K option and a Virtual Run.
Event Features
All finishers receive a race medal and an event t-shirt. The finisher medal is designed as a belt buckle. There is a costume contest with a winner chosen by crowd vote, awarding prizes including a future race entry and a trophy. A DJ provides music, and individual runner names are announced at the finish line.
Awards
Trophies are awarded to the first overall male and female finisher in each running event. Special recognition pins are given to the first male and female Masters (40+) finishers. Standard age group awards (gold, silver, bronze pins) are presented for the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon distances across many age categories.
Course and Logistics
The course runs through parks and greenbelts, with a mix of surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and sometimes dirt paths. Water aid stations are available on the course. Packet pickup is offered starting 1.5 hours before the event start. Events are held regardless of weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
