Rodeo Stampede - Fort Worth
The Rodeo Stampede takes place at Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. This western-themed event follows paved trails, parks, and greenbelts, though participants should expect mixed surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participants:
- Half Marathon Run: A chip-timed 13.1-mile race.
- Quarter Marathon Run: A chip-timed 6.55-mile course.
- 5K Run: A chip-timed 3.11-mile race.
- 1 Mile Run: A non-timed event for various experience levels.
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter dash designed specifically for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: A 13.1-mile remote participation option.
All finishers across all distances receive a shirt and a medal, with the medals designed to function as genuine belt buckles. The event includes a cowboy costume contest where a winner is selected by crowd applause. Trophies are awarded to the first overall male and female finishers in the half marathon, quarter marathon, and 5K. Additionally, age group awards are presented in three श्रेणियों (Gold, Silver, and Bronze pins) for participants ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over.
The race atmosphere features a live DJ and a rally tent with snacks and refreshments at the finish line. Aid stations are located along the course to provide water. A specialized "Volunteer then Run" registration is available for the 5K, allowing participants to assist with packet pickup and awards in exchange for a chip-timed entry.
