Trinity River Hop

The Trinity River Hop is a running event held annually on the Saturday of Easter weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Participants can choose between several distances along a course that follows the Trinity River. The route consists primarily of paved concrete and asphalt surfaces through Gateway Park and along the Trinity Trails.

The course is described as flat and designed as an out-and-back or looped path depending on the distance selected. Runners pass through green landscapes featuring wildflowers and bunny-themed decorations. Aid stations are situated along the route, providing water to all participants and sports drinks with snacks for those in the longer distance category.

Available distances include:

  • 5K (one loop)
  • 10K (two loops)
  • Hop Half Marathon (three loops)

All participants receive a custom full-color bib, chip timing, a finisher's medal, and a T-shirt if registered by the specified deadline. The event includes competitive elements with gift cards awarded to top male, female, and non-binary finishers in various age categories, including Under 40, Masters (40-59), and Senior Masters (60+). Recognition is also provided for winners across multiple age groups ranging from 10 to over 80. Donations from the event benefit the Bunny Burrow Rabbit Rescue.

The event starts at Gateway Park in the Fort Woof parking lot. Amenities for children under 14 include special pricing, with younger participants receiving bunny ears. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
