Rodeo Stampede - Dallas
The Rodeo Stampede is a running event held in the parks and greenbelts of Dallas, Texas. Organized by the Bigfoot Running Company, the event features a western theme and routes that primarily utilize paved trails, though participants may encounter mixed surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt paths. The event includes a variety of race distances to accommodate different preferences:
- Half Marathon: A chip-timed 13.1-mile course.
- Quarter Marathon: A chip-timed 6.55-mile course.
- 5K Run: A chip-timed 3.11-mile course.
- 1 Mile Run: A non-chip-timed event for all experience levels.
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter dash for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: A 13.1-mile remote participation option.
Participants in the timed events (5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon) are eligible for overall male and female trophies, as well as age group awards and masters category recognition. All finishers across all distances receive a custom shirt and a medal designed to function as a belt buckle.
The event features a Cowboy Costume Contest where a winner is selected by crowd applause to receive a trophy and prize pack. On-site amenities include a DJ, a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments, and aid stations positioned along the course providing water. A mascot is also present for photo opportunities.
