The Wiener Run 5K & 10K - Dallas
The Wiener Run takes place at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas and includes multiple race options, family activities, and on-site dog rescue support. The event features finisher medals, soft race shirts, a live DJ, name announcements at the finish, aid stations along the course, and a free hot dog and beverage for finishers. The course surface is a mix of pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Events are held in a public park so participants share paths with dog walkers and picnickers. The organizer notes shirt orders are guaranteed if submitted at least ten days before race day and that the event runs rain or shine.
Race distances and formats:
- Kids Dash - 20 yard dash, 10 and under, race tee, finisher medal, exclusive pin
- 1 Mile - not chip timed, race tee and finisher medal
- 5K (3.11 miles) - chip timed with awards
- 10K (6.22 miles) - chip timed with awards
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer role then run; includes chip timed bib and medal
- Virtual Run - remote participation option
Age group awards are offered for the 5K and 10K with categories from 10 and under up through 70 plus. The event partners with a local dachshund rescue and will collect dog food, toys, and treats on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
