The Wiener Run : Bachman Lake Park, Dallas
The Wiener Run is a community running event produced by Bigfoot Running Company at Bachman Lake Park, 3500 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220. The event offers multiple race formats, on-site food service at the finish area, awards, and volunteer roles.
Distances and formats include:
- Kids Dash (10 & under): short children’s dash with race tee, finisher medal, and pin
- 1 Mile: includes race tee and finisher medal; not chip timed
- 5K (3.11 miles): chip timed with age group awards and overall trophies
- 10K (6.22 miles): chip timed with age group awards and overall trophies
- Virtual Run (13.1 miles): remote participation option
- Volunteer then Run 5K: volunteer role plus chip timed 5K; limited spots available
The event provides finisher medals and soft race shirts, aid stations along the course, live DJ and name announcements at the finish, and a live awards celebration. Top finishers in the 5K and 10K receive Bigfoot Trophy awards and the first Masters (40+) receives a recognition pin. Age groups are defined from 10 and under through 70 plus with standard 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. The course surface includes pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths, and activities occur in public park areas shared with dog walkers and picnickers.
