Event overview
The Wiener Run 5K & 10K takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Bachman Lake Park, 3500 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220. The event includes in-person and virtual options and a Volunteer-then-Run option for the 5K that is limited to the first five sign-ups. Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start. The course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Runners receive a race shirt and finisher medal, and the finish-line service includes a hot dog and beverage for participants. Aid stations are available on course. The event partners with a local dachshund rescue and will collect dog food, toys, and treats; adoptable dogs will be on site.

Awards, categories and notes
5K and 10K awards include 1st overall male/female Bigfoot Trophy, 1st Masters (40+) recognition, and standard age-group prizes. Age groups run from 10 & under up to 70+.
