Mental Health Awareness 5K Run and Walk-Together
The Mental Health Awareness 5K Run and Walk-Together is an annual event held in Lucas, Texas. Organized by Camp2020 in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, the event aims to benefit Mental Health of America and NAMI. The proceeds support education and awareness initiatives to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
The event features two primary distances:
- 5K
- Fun walk
Participants follow a flat course through the scenic back roads and country setting of Lucas. The 5K race is chip-timed by Chip-2-Chip Race Timing, making it suitable for those looking to record a specific time or reach a personal best.
Awards are presented to the first, second, and third place overall male and female finishers, as well as the first place overall male and female in the Master's category (40+). Additional age group awards are available for both genders in categories ranging from 14 and under to 65 and older. Those who complete their registration by May 4, 2026, are eligible to receive a complimentary T-shirt as part of the event giveaway. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
