Rockin' Rockwoods 53K and 1/2 Marathon - September 26, 2026
Rockin' Rockwoods is a trail race weekend hosted by Terrain Trail Runners in Greensfelder County Park, 4515 Hencken Road, Wildwood, MO. The event includes multiple simultaneous trail distances run mostly on the Green Rock Trail with varied surface conditions and technical features.
- 53K - approx. 5200 ft elevation gain
- 1/2 Marathon - approx. 2200 ft elevation gain
- 1/2 Marathon RUCK - approx. 2200 ft elevation gain
The course is roughly 95% single track with hard pack dirt, loose uneven rock, steep grades, roots and creek crossings. The 53K combines two out-and-back sections; the half and ruck distances are out-and-back. Four manned aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks and basic first aid; the spacing is about 5.5 miles on average and never more than approximately 7.5 miles. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and the turnaround aid station.
The event is cup-free; runners should plan to bring a reusable drinking receptacle. Race registration includes a custom cotton/poly hoodie for registrations before the swag deadline, a custom finisher medal for 53K and half finishers, a ruck patch for RUCK finishers, and post‑race lunch and beer for runners and volunteers. Race day registration is available at higher fees and swag is not guaranteed for those registrations. The race is part of the Trail Mix Fund partnership that began in December 2025; the fund can cover registration fees for runners who cannot afford them.
