The Big River Run
The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual Big River Run at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex in House Springs, Missouri. The event includes two road race distances and follows a course through the Big River bottoms, past horse ranches, and across local countryside.
New for 2026, all finishers will receive a finisher medal. Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female overall finishers in each distance.

Where pricing applies, shown amounts include mandatory charges and fees. Published registration fees are $34.09 for the 5K (listed as $30 plus processing fees) and $44.79 for the 10 Mile (listed as $40 plus processing fees). The listed registration period runs from June 30 to September 17.
Packet pickup is available at two locations: Friday, 9/18 at High Ridge Civic Center from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Sunday, 9/20 at the race site at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
