The Big River Run
The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual Big River Run at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex in House Springs, Missouri. The event offers two race distances:
- 5K
- 10 Mile
The course passes through the Big River bottoms and runs near horse ranches and countryside areas, providing varied rural scenery along the route.
Registration fees, where shown amounts include mandatory charges and processing, are listed as follows: the 5K is $34.09 (listed as $30 plus processing) and the 10 Mile is $44.79 (listed as $40 plus processing). The registration window shown is June 30 through September 17.
Packet pickup is available at two times and locations: Friday, September 18 at the High Ridge Civic Center from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Sunday, September 20 at the race site from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.
Awards include a finisher medal for all finishers, noted as new for 2026, and prizes for the top three male and top three female overall finishers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
