The Big River Run
The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual Big River Run at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex in House Springs, Missouri. The event features two measured race distances on a course that passes through the Big River bottoms, horse ranches, and rural countryside.

- 5K
All finishers in 2026 will receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers in each race distance.
Registration pricing shown for the event includes mandatory charges and processing fees. Listed fees and registration window are:
- 5K: $34.09 ($30 plus processing fees), Jun 30 - Sep 17
- 10 Mile: $44.79 ($40 plus processing fees), Jun 30 - Sep 17
