Rock the Boat 5K
Rock the Boat 5K is a community run/walk held at Southport Yacht Club on Southport Island near Cozy Harbor in Maine on August 1, 2026. The event distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and is organized with participation from Southport Yacht Club families, sailing program families, and community members.
Registration opens July 2, 2026 and closes July 31, 2026. The standard registration fee is $25 and there is an added $10 fee for registrations on the day of the event. T-shirts are available to participants who register by July 22 at midnight. During registration there is an option to donate a t-shirt; registrants must still provide a size even if they choose to donate the shirt.
Bib and t-shirt pick up will be available before the race and on race morning at Southport Yacht Club. The race will be professionally timed. Organizers reserve the right to cancel and refund registrations if a minimum of 100 participants is not met; otherwise no refunds will be given. The event will be held regardless of the weather. Strollers and babies are welcome. Parking is limited, so organizers advise walking or riding bikes to the venue. Race proceeds will benefit the Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation.
