Robles Run 4 Change 5K
The inaugural Robles Run 4 Change 5K is a timed running and walking event held in Lexington Park, Maryland. The course takes place within the quiet Town Creek neighborhood, beginning at a location adjacent to the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Participants follow a route that is primarily an out-and-back layout and features some rolling hills.
The event is designed to be family friendly, allowing participants to choose between running or walking the distance. Course marshals are positioned along the route to provide direction, and refreshments including water, sports drinks, and snacks are available at the start and finish area.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in two specific categories:
- Adult Open division
- Youth division for participants aged 12 and under
The proceeds from the event support Robles de Justicia, a Guatemalan nonprofit organization. This organization focuses on providing resources for teenage girls who are aging out of the orphanage system in Guatemala. The mission involves equipping these young women with the tools needed to achieve financial independence and emotional health as they transition into their communities.
