The Road Race for Education takes place on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Decatur, Georgia at 2901 Clifton Springs Rd, Decatur, GA 30034. The event includes the following races and formats:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Senior Walk
- Kids Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
The in-person 5K is chip-timed on a USATF certified course and is a Peachtree qualifier. The event is presented by Principle Intelligence and is described as the 45th edition of the road race, previously named the Mohammed Ali Road Race.
Registration, logistics and impact
All registrations are transferable but non-refundable. The deadline to convert an in-person registration to a virtual entry is midnight on August 22, 2026. Participant packets must be picked up at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam on August 29, 2026, from 1 PM to 5 PM; in-person packets will not be mailed. Virtual 5K registration does not include packet shipping and provides access to virtual results reporting. In-person 5K registration includes a participant shirt while supplies last, a medal, and chip timing.
Proceeds support Mohammed Schools of Atlanta. The race weekend will include a community service project and involves local community members in course planning and volunteering. A course map is provided on MapMyRun. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
