Road Race for Education - Atlanta, GA
The Road Race for Education is an annual community event in Dekalb County, held on September 6, 2027 at 560 Fayetteville Rd., Atlanta, GA 30316. The event brings together the East Lake Community and East Atlanta Neighbors to support quality education and community involvement. It was previously named the Muhammad Ali Road Race.
Race formats include in-person and virtual options and events for different ages. Distances offered:
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Senior Walk
- 5K Virtual Run
In-person 5K registration includes a participant shirt while supplies last, a participant medal, and a chip-timed 5K on a USATF certified course with RRCA recognition. Virtual 5K registration includes a participant shirt, does not include packet shipping, and provides access to virtual results reporting.
Registrations are transferable but non-refundable. In-person participant packets must be picked up at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam in the library on Friday, September 4, 2027 from 3 PM to 5 PM, or Saturday, September 5, 2027 from 9 AM to 1 PM. In-person packets will not be mailed. The deadline to transfer a registration to virtual is midnight on August 22, 2027.
Proceeds support the mission of Mohammed Schools of Atlanta. The race weekend will include a community service project and community volunteer opportunities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
