Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting

The Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting takes place at Christian City on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The evening event raises funds for Christian City’s Children & Family Programs and includes a community tree lighting on the Christian City campus in Union City, Georgia.

Participants gather for a running program that offers a 5K and a 1-Mile Fun Run. The course is described as flat and is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Awards are given for multiple age groups. All registrants receive a t-shirt and a participation medallion.

The event evening features food trucks, music, holiday lights, the Coca-Cola holiday truck, and opportunities for photos with Santa. Proceeds support the five Children & Family Programs at Christian City. In 2025, proceeds helped Christian City serve 2,934 children and 1,176 families.

Christian City operates on a 500-acre campus and provides services that include homes for children, support for families in crisis, and affordable housing for seniors.
