Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting
The Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting at the Christian City campus is an evening event on Saturday, December 5, 2026, that combines running with a community tree lighting. The program includes a timed 5K and a 1 mile fun run on a flat course that goes through the Christian City campus. The event is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and includes awards for multiple age groups. All registrants receive a t shirt and a participation medallion.
The tree lighting portion features food trucks, music, holiday lights, the Coca Cola holiday truck, and photos with Santa. Proceeds support Christian City’s five Children and Family Programs. Christian City operates on a 500 acre campus and provides services that include residential care, family support, and affordable senior housing. The organization reports serving children and families in recent years and says proceeds from past runs helped serve 2,934 children and 1,176 families.
Presented fee tiers are available for registrations and include reduced rates before early November, standard rates later in November and early December, free entry for children under five, and a family maximum fee.
