Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting
The Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting is an evening event held on the Christian City campus that raises funds for Christian City’s Children & Family Programs. The event includes a road race and a community tree lighting together with food trucks, music, holiday lights, the Coca-Cola holiday truck, and photos with Santa.
Participants follow a flat course through the Christian City campus. The event is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and offers awards for multiple age groups. All registrants receive a t-shirt and a participation medallion.

Registration fees vary by date with a family maximum of $140; children under five may participate for free. Proceeds support five Children & Family Programs on Christian City’s 500-acre campus. Christian City was established in 1965 as a home for children and now serves children affected by poverty, homelessness, neglect, or abuse, helps families in crisis, and provides affordable housing for over 1,000 seniors. Proceeds from the 2025 event helped Christian City serve 2,934 children and 1,176 families.
