Event overview
The 2025 Christmas Star Run and Tree Lighting takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Christian City campus in Union City, GA (7345 Red Oak Road). The program combines an annual Christmas tree lighting with a running event and holiday entertainment. The event includes carolers, holiday lights, music, food trucks, the Coca-Cola holiday truck, refreshments, and photos with Santa. Glow wear is provided and prizes are awarded for best holiday costumes.

The event offers a flat race course that runs through the Christian City campus, a roughly 500-acre site. It is listed as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Distances offered:

Proceeds support Christian City’s five Children & Family Programs. The organization serves children and families facing challenges such as poverty, homelessness, neglect and abuse, and also houses more than 1,000 seniors in affordable housing on campus. In 2024 the run involved more than 100 runners and raised $51,600; the 2025 goals mentioned are 300 participants and $120,000 in funds.
