About the race
Sleighbells on the Square returns to Marietta Square on Saturday, December 12, 2026, presented by the Cobb County Bar Association. The event includes multiple family-oriented races that start and finish on the Square and welcomes strollers and dogs. Festive holiday attire is encouraged.
Races and formats:
- 5K (chip-timed; USATF certified and AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier)
- 1K
- Tot Trot (50 yards; open to ages 6 and under)
- 5K Virtual (complete the distance anywhere)
Registration fees vary by date and category. Race registration includes a long sleeve T-shirt; shirts are not mailed and must be picked up during packet pickup or on race day. The 5K awards custom medals to top finishers: top three male and female overall, top three overall masters, and top three in each age group from 10 & Under through 75+.
Proceeds benefit the Cobb County Bar’s Children’s Emergency Fund, a 501c3 that provides emergency grants to local households for needs such as utility bills, clothing, medicine, and housing.
Additional event features include a referral program that provides a refund after five friends register, a school participation contest with monetary prizes, and a Beat the Bell contest with a cash prize for the winner.
