River Rock Run - Buffalo, NY
The River Rock Run is the 5th Annual community road race organized by the BRRAlliance in Riverside Park, Buffalo. The main event is a USATF-certified 5K on course certificate #NY23023JJ that was professionally measured and follows a waterfront route through the Olmsted-designed park, across the I-190 pedestrian bridge, along the Shoreline Trail to Tow Path Park and back along the same path.
Event services include professional RFID timing and finish-line services provided by Race Management Solutions with real-time results available through race platforms and kiosks. The race includes awards for overall male and female winners, finisher medals for participants, and age-group awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female) with custom medal decals. Age categories range from stroller division (5 and under) through 80+.
Additional features noted by the organizer include a post-race gathering in the park with free food and drinks and a new kids course for 2026. Online registration remains open until race day; t-shirts are guaranteed to registrants who sign up by September 10, 2026, and a virtual 5K option is available with shirt shipping within the continental USA.
