Riva Runs The Boardwalk 5K
Riva Runs The Boardwalk takes place on September 12, 2026 in West Haven, Connecticut at Riva on the water, 183 Beach St. The event center is on the boardwalk and the main course is described as flat and scenic at approximately 3.11 miles.
Event options include:
- 5K open event on a mostly boardwalk course, chip timed.
- 5K 18 and under option on the same course.
- 100 yards kids run for ages 9 and under, distance determined by age and number.
The course will be marked and supported by volunteers and police and will include one water table. The inaugural event has a 250 person limit. Registrations open July 9 with tiered fees and multiple registration windows through September 12; a guaranteed event t-shirt applies to registrations completed by September 1. Participants 21 and over may receive a canned beverage after finishing; snacks and nonalcoholic beverages are also available. Awards include overall top male and female and age group prizes from 9 and under through 70 and over. Parking is available in lots next to Riva with space for over 200 cars. The event is produced by Riva Gives Back with event production by MS Running Productions, and stated safety protocols will follow applicable state and town guidelines.
