Rise & Run 5K - January 1, 2027
Rise & Run 5K takes place January 1, 2027 at Tom Bennett Park, 400 Cypress Creek Blvd, Bradenton, FL. The event offers an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option.
Registration opened and closed on February 1, 2026. The in-person entry fee was $25 and the virtual entry fee was $32. Virtual participants are mailed shirts and medals beginning December 1; virtual finish times may be uploaded on January 1 only.
The event is team-focused and includes a prize for the largest team, a themed "Why I Rise" medal, a selfie wall, music, and giveaways. Chip timing is provided by Beach Bum Timing. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to the top two finishers in each age group: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Packet pickup is scheduled at New Balance, 315 N Cattlemen Rd, Sarasota on December 29, with additional pickup dates on December 30 and 31 to be announced; race day pickup is also available. Race day registration requires scanning a QR code and accepts credit card or Apple Pay only; no cash is accepted.
Ten percent of proceeds will benefit Selah Freedom, supporting safe housing, trauma-informed care, and services for survivors of human trafficking. Partners include New Balance, Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort as a lodging partner with promo code RUN valid 12/30/26 to 1/3/27, and a travel partner from Cruise Planners.
