Rio Del Lago 100 Mile Endurance Run
Rio Del Lago offers two race distances held at Beal's Point in the Sierra Nevada foothills at Folsom Lake, about 40 minutes east of Sacramento. The events are scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, and the 2026 edition is a qualifier for the 2027 Western States 100.

The course for the 100 mile race features roughly +13,874 ft and -13,874 ft of elevation change and combines paved bike paths, single track and fire roads. The route passes the American River Parkway, the Johnny Cash Trail, Nimbus Bluffs, Granite Beach, Twin Rocks, Auburn, No Hands Bridge and other landmark sections such as Cardiac Hill and the Auburn Dam Overlook. The 50K follows the same start and turns at Twin Rocks to return to Beal's Point.
Key race rules and services include a cupless policy so runners must bring a personal cup, a requirement to carry two water bottles or a hydration pack, and issued drop bags for 100 mile runners at specified aid stations. Trekking poles are allowed from the Auburn Dam Overlook at mile 44.25 to the finish. Pacers may join runners only at designated locations and must travel on foot and be at least 18 years of age. Aid stations are stocked with beverages, gels, PB&J and hot food at night.
Finishers receive event apparel and medallions; overall and age division awards are given. A medical team staffs four on course stations and may remove runners for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
