About the race
The Ridgeway Run is an approximately 15 km trail race held in Tring on 11 October 2026. The course runs mainly on footpaths and bridleways and offers views across the Chilterns. Established in 1982, the route starts on the outskirts of Tring, ascends into the Ashridge Estate, passes the Bridgewater Monument, follows a stretch of the Ridgeway path and Pitstone Hill, and returns to finish at the Cricket Club.
Entries are managed online only, with a planned entry limit of 650 and no paper entry at the venue. Online entries are left open to a stated deadline; transfers to another participant are permitted up to a specified transfer deadline. Refunds and deferrals are not available.
The event is fully marshalled and includes water stations at about 3 and 6 miles. On-site facilities at the Cricket Club include changing rooms with male and female showers, toilet provision, and refreshments. Finishers receive an event-branded snood. Prizes are offered for course record-breaking male and female performances; current course record times are listed as male 52:40 and female 56:45. Place, veteran, and team prizes are awarded when team qualification numbers are met. The race holds TRA permit number 8539 and is run under UKA rules.
The event also allocates part of its proceeds to planting 200 trees and collects used running shoes for JogOn. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
