Affinity Hatfield 5K Series 2026
The Affinity Hatfield Midweek 5K Race Series is three consecutive 5 km races held on three Wednesday evenings: 26 August 2026, 2 September 2026 and 9 September 2026. The 26 August event incorporates the Hertfordshire Senior Championships and the 2 September event incorporates the Hertfordshire Veterans Championships. Maximum entry is 375 participants per race and all races are currently full; a waiting list is available.
Races are organised under UKA rules with UKA Permit No: xxx and Certificate of Course Accuracy 23/177. Minimum age for entry is 14 years. Veteran age groups are V40, V50, V60, V70 and V80 for both men and women. Course records are listed for male and female runners; breaking a course record entitles the runner to free entry to the series the following year.
Prizes are awarded for each race and for the series. Individual race prizes include first male and female and best age-graded male and female. Series prizes use the best two of three race times and competitors must run all three races to be eligible. Team prizes are open to affiliated clubs only; a male team consists of four members and a female team of three members. Race numbers are issued at the first-race registration desk and must be retained for the series.
No refunds or deferrals are permitted. Place transfers are allowed only in their entirety and only before the first race. Headphones of any description are not allowed. Toilets are located within the Race HQ. Car parking is available at the Race HQ; a one-way system should be observed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
