Ridge to Blazing Ridge Trail Race : Pelham, AL
Ridge to Blazing Ridge is a trail race held in Oak Mountain State Park near Tranquility Road in Pelham, AL. The event offers two distances:
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
The course includes mountain terrain with aid stations on the course: a staffed aid station on the mountain at mile 3.75 and a water-only stop at mile 7.5. Tailwind nutrition is available at the staffed aid stations along with water. Runners are required to carry water at all times during the race; entrants must carry at least 15 to 20 oz of water or Tailwind at the start, with no exceptions.
Packet pickup and late registration are provided before race day at Mountain High Outfitters near Oak Mountain and at the Redbud Pavilion by the BMX Track in the park. Oak Mountain State Park charges a $5 per person entry fee. Runners who register by July 26 will receive custom race shirts; shirts are ordered in advance and will be distributed based on registration date if quantities are limited.
