Ridge to Blazing Ridge Trail Race
The Ridge to Blazing Ridge is a trail race held on August 22nd, 2026 at Oak Mountain State Park near Birmingham, Alabama. The course begins at the Redbud Pavilion by the BMX track on Tranquility Road and runs on a looped trail with long, steep climbs. Organizers describe the terrain as difficult and note that high temperatures are common during the event.
All runners are required to carry water at all times during the race. Organizers supply Tailwind and water at both aid stations; runners may refill bottles there. Runners have frequently run out of water on this course, and the presence of creeks near parts of the route is noted as an option for refilling with a filter bottle.
