Ridge to Blazing Ridge Trail Race : Pelham, AL
Ridge to Blazing Ridge is a trail race held at Oak Mountain State Park with the start area at the Redbud Pavilion next to the BMX track on Tranquility Road. The event offers two distances:
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
The course is described as difficult and is expected to be hot. There are two aid stations on the mountain at mile 3.75 and a water only stop at mile 7.5. Tailwind and water are supplied at the two mountain aid stations. Runners are required to carry water at all times; participants must be carrying at least 15 to 20 ounces of water or Tailwind at the start to be allowed to run.
Packet pickup and late registration are available at Mountain High Outfitters at the Oak Mountain store and at the Redbud Pavilion on race morning. Oak Mountain State Park charges a $5 per person entrance fee. Custom, fully sublimated race shirts will be provided to all runners who register by July 26; shirts will be distributed based on registration date if quantities differ from expectations.
