Richmond Park Marathon
The Richmond Park Marathon is a 26.2 mile trail race held within the grounds of Richmond Park. The event follows a three-lap format. The first lap covers 12 miles, traveling around the park perimeter and through its center. The subsequent two laps each cover 7.1 miles and primarily follow the Tamsin Trail in a clockwise direction. A cut-off time of 6 hours 30 minutes is in place for all participants to complete the course.
The race start and finish area is located near Sheen Gate on the north side of the park. The route includes several hills on each lap and utilizes a mix of trails and perimeter paths. To assist with navigation, a lead cyclist precedes the runners, and the course is marked with signs, arrows, and approximately 16 marshals.
