HOKA Hackney Moves Festival
The HOKA Hackney Moves Festival is a multi-day sporting event held at Hackney Marshes. The festival features a variety of running distances and community activities centered around movement and music. The event takes place on middle of May, utilizing closed roads throughout the borough.
Participants can choose from several scheduled events:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10K (Night run)
- 5K (Community run)
- Schools' Challenge
The 21.1 km half marathon course takes runners through the heart of the borough on closed roads, accompanied by live music and crowds. For those interested in shorter distances, the 10K night run occurs on a closed-road lap past London sporting venues and concludes with an after-party. The 5K community run is designed for various participants including the next generation of runners.
In addition to the races, the event site at Hackney Marshes hosts a festival throughout the weekend. This includes a lineup of live acts, fitness activities, and food vendors. Local school children also have the opportunity to participate in a dedicated challenge to experience the atmosphere of the race weekend. Charity participation options are available for those wishing to support specific causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
