Hackney Quarter
Hackney Quarter is a night running event produced by Friday Night Lights at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with the event site and finish located on Hopkins Field in Hackney Wick, London E20 3AX. The main race distance is 10 km on a single-lap closed-road course that passes the London Stadium, the Aquatics Centre and the Velodrome.
The course is described as flat and fast and uses professional chip timing. The finish feeds into an event village on Hopkins Field with DJs, a crowd atmosphere, food and drink stalls, and local pop-ups. Finishers receive a complimentary beer instead of a finishers medal. Additional on-site services include a bag drop and physio and massage consultations available to book for an additional fee.
The event sits on the eve of the Hackney Half Marathon weekend and is presented as a shorter alternative within that weekend. Ticketing includes standard entries with a listed price range of £36 to £45 and options for corporate and running community tickets.
Transport access is via Stratford Underground Station, a 388 bus link to Hereeast and a short walk to Hopkins Field from the Hereeast stop. The event is run on closed roads within the Olympic Park and is organised by Friday Night Lights. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
