Event overview
The Dorney Triathlon takes place on 8 August 2026 at Dorney Lake, Court Lane, off Lake End Road, Windsor SL4 6FJ. The event is organised by Active Training World and is held off open roads. The course is described as having clear water and flat, scenic grounds and the event is chip timed. The race is designated draft illegal. Free parking is available on site.
Race formats and distances
Several formats are offered, including individual triathlons, aquabike (swim-bike) and relays with two or three team members.
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 19 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard: 1500 m swim, 38 km bike, 10 km run
- Super Sprint: 400 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Sprint Aquabike: 750 m swim, 19 km bike
- Standard Aquabike: 1500 m swim, 38 km bike
Entry and requirements
Entry fees range from £58 to £120 depending on the race type. Age requirements apply: some races are open to entrants aged 15 and over on 31/12/2026, others to entrants aged 17 and over on 31/12/2026. Participants must hold a British Triathlon race licence, either an annual Core or Ultimate membership or a single-use Race Pass. Wetsuit hire options are mentioned.
