Richland Creek Run XX
The Richland Creek Run is an annual event held in Nashville, Tennessee, featuring a certified course that transitions through the historic Sylvan Park neighborhood and sections of the Richland Creek Greenway. The event starts and finishes at the Cohn Learning Center on Park Avenue.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 5 Miles: A certified course through local neighborhoods and greenway paths.
- 1 Mile: A fun run following a similar start location.
- 0.5 Miles: Known as the Dinky Dash, specifically for children ages 12 and under.
The five-mile race provides participants with a t-shirt, though sizing is not guaranteed for those who register late. The Dinky Dash is an out-and-back course designed to introduce young runners to a race atmosphere, and refreshments such as popsicles are provided for children after they complete their run.
The event proceeds benefit Greenways for Nashville, a non-profit organization focused on the preservation and promotion of the greenway system within Nashville and Davidson County. The races are held regardless of weather conditions, and both dogs and strollers are permitted on the course during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
