Event
Circuit Running Events Ltd stages a six-hour timed challenge at Poorhouse Lane, Hull HU9 5DF. The event is a flat road/pavement race licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum entries are 60 and the minimum age is 12 years. The event raises awareness for a rhino conservation cause and some proceeds will go to that cause. Entries close 03/11/2025.
Course, distances and facilities
The course is an out-and-back loop along an old railway line on a tarmac path. One full lap measures 4.37 miles and no navigation is required. Distances are formed from lap counts and a 5 km turn point:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon (3 laps of the 4.37 mile course)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- Ultra marathon (7 or more laps)
A table at the end of each lap provides water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets are located at a nearby leisure facility. Parking is available on Preston Road parking bays near Poorhouse Lane; local business car parks and Poorhouse Lane have parking restrictions. Finishers receive a bespoke rhino-themed medal and a goody bag.
