The Woldsman - Event details
The Woldsman takes place Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 April 2026 at Driffield Showground, Driffield, East Yorkshire (YO25 9DN). The event, organised by LDWA - East Yorkshire, offers routes over the Yorkshire Wolds. Minimum age is 18 or older. Entries recorded so far: 311 participants. The 50-mile course must be completed within a 20-hour limit. There is a cut-off at 25 miles (Thixendale).

Entry, logistics and kit
Entries open 1 August 2025 and close 4 April 2026. Entry fee is £30. Registration is through the SiEntries system; withdrawals before 4 April 2026 receive a refund, after that date the fee is forfeited. Free car parking is available at the showground. Camping space is available from Friday to Sunday; contact the event organiser for details. Food and drink are provided at all checkpoints. Finishers receive a badge, certificate and meal. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only. Participants are asked to follow marshal directions for parking.
The minimum required kit includes Map O/S Explorer 294/295/300 and compass, waterproofs, first aid kit and survival bag, a mug (no mug = no drink) and extra warm clothing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
