About the race
The Woldsman 30 is a 32 miles route starting and finishing at Driffield Showground and running across the Yorkshire Wolds. The event must be completed within 12 hours and uses a mass start; early starts are not permitted.
Free car parking is available at the Showground and basic camping is available from Friday to Sunday for a fee of £5 per person. Checkpoints are positioned along the route and have enforced opening and closing times; arrivals outside those windows may be asked to wait or may be retired from the event. Food and drink are provided at all checkpoints with vegetarian options; other special diets are not catered for and allergen-free food cannot be guaranteed. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only. Finishers receive a badge, certificate and a meal.
Entrants must carry minimum kit including an Ordnance Survey Explorer map (294/295/300) and compass, waterproofs, first aid kit and survival bag, a mug for drinks, and extra warm clothing. A full route description and a GPX file will be made available approximately one week before the event. Parts of the route cross private land and entrants must not recce the full route before event day. Withdrawals before 13 March 2027 receive a refund minus an administration fee; after that date the entry fee is forfeited. No transfer or deferral of entry is permitted.
