About the race
Woldsman 30 is a long-distance walking and running event starting and finishing at Driffield Showground in East Yorkshire. The route covers 32 miles across the Yorkshire Wolds and must be completed within 12 hours. The event has an entry limit of 350 and the entry fee is £22; entries open 13 June 2026 and close 27 March 2027. The minimum age for entry is 18 as of the event date.
Checkpoints are used along the route and opening and closing times will be enforced. Food and drink are provided at all checkpoints; vegetarian options will be available but other special diets will not be catered for, and allergen-free provision cannot be guaranteed. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only. Finishers receive a badge, certificate and a meal.
Basic camping is available at the showground at a cost of £5 per person and there is free car parking at Driffield Showground with marshals directing parking. A full route description and a GPX file will be published approximately one week before the event; because parts of the route cross private land entrants must not recce the full route before event day.
A list of required kit is specified and includes an OS Explorer map, compass, waterproofs, first aid kit, survival bag, a mug for drinks and extra warm clothing. Refunds are available for withdrawals before 13 March 2027 minus an admin fee; after that date the entry fee is forfeited and transfers or deferrals are not permitted.
