Rev3 Back Bay
Rev3 Back Bay, formerly known as the Osprey Triathlon, is a multi-sport event held at the Public Landing in Snow Hill, Maryland. The venue is situated at the end of Public Landing Road and features a pavilion, beach, and parking lot where post-event activities take place.
The competition offers several formats for individual and team participants:
- SprintREV Triathlon: A 19.1 mile course consisting of a 0.5 mile swim, 15.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- SprintREV Duathlon: A 19.6 mile course consisting of a 1 mile run, 15.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- SprintREV Aquabike: A 16 mile course consisting of a 0.5 mile swim and 15.5 mile bike.
- SprintREV Relay: A 19.1 mile triathlon completed by teams of 2 or 3 people.
The triathlon begins with an in-water start at the beach, followed by a swim toward the pavilion and transition area. The bike segment features a long straight section along local roads. The final run follows an out-and-back format. The terrain for these courses is flat. Participants can collect their packets at the event location on the morning of the races.
