Reservoir Dogs Trail Run - Orinda, CA
The Reservoir Dogs Trail Run takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, around the San Pablo and Briones Reservoirs on EBMUD land. Events offered are:
- 35K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The course circumnavigates Briones Reservoir and uses a mix of tree covered single-track and open fire roads. Runners pass through dense, shady woods, follow a mostly flat shoreline section, and climb into more exposed hills with wide views of the watershed. The route is described as offering a stronger sense of remoteness than typical East Bay parks.
Start and finish are at the San Pablo Reservoir Visitors Center. Parking is available at the visitors center with a $7 fee; exact change is preferred and credit cards are accepted. Race capacity is limited to 300 entrants. Dogs are not permitted. The 35K race has a 6.5 hour time limit.
Aid stations provide a variety of foods and beverages such as gels, chews, trail mix, potatoes with salt, soda, water, Skratch Labs hydration mix, fruit, and PB&J. Runners are advised to carry at least one 20 oz bottle due to variable distances between aid stations.
Early bib pickup is on Friday, October 9 at Sports Basement Berkeley. Race day check-in and bib pickup are available the morning of the event.
Shirts are tri-blend technical tees; registration by September 26, 2026 guarantees a shirt and size. Awards include custom trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers per distance, special sponsor items for top finishers, custom finisher medals, a Dead Last Finisher award, and age-group medals across standard categories.
