Reservoir Dogs Trail Run - Orinda, CA
The Reservoir Dogs Trail Run is a multi-distance trail event held on EBMUD lands around San Pablo and Briones Reservoirs. The course uses single-track and open fire roads, mostly moderately rolling, and includes wooded shoreline sections and exposed hilltop stretches with wide views of the watershed.
Distances offered:
- 35K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The Start and Finish are at the San Pablo Reservoir Visitors Center, which provides parking and picnic and hiking amenities. Parking inside the visitors center has a $7 fee; the park prefers exact change but accepts credit cards. Dogs are not permitted on the course. The 35K has a 6.5 hour time limit. Total race capacity is 300 entrants across all distances.
Aid stations supply a variety of fuels and hydration including energy gels, chews, trail mix, salty snacks, fruit, soda, water, and electrolyte mix. Stations also carry basic first aid items. Runners are encouraged to carry at least one 20 ounce bottle due to variable distances between aid stations.
Shirts are tri-blend performance tees with moisture-wicking and UPF 30. To guarantee a shirt and specific size, registration must be completed by September 26, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable; organizers offer a credit equal to 50 percent of the original fee if cancellation occurs at least three weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
