Lafayette Elementary Donut Dash 2026
This community running event in Golden Gate Park offers two distances and supports a local public elementary school. Participants can enter one distance or both.
Distances
- 5K (3.1 mile)
- 1 mile
Registration fees are listed for each distance: the 5K fee is $30 and the 1 mile fee is $20. The 5K is professionally timed. Finishers receive a donut at the finish line; an allergen free treat will be available for those who need it. Treats and shirts are distributed on a first come, first served basis, and specific shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
The 5K course begins on Blue Heron Drive near Pioneer Log Cabin Meadow, turns left onto JFK Drive, continues toward the overpass for a turnaround near Arguello at the top of the hill, then returns down JFK Drive, turns left onto Conservatory East Drive, and finishes after a left onto Stow Lake Drive where the race started.
The 1 mile course starts at the same location, follows Stow Lake Drive past Pioneer Log Cabin Meadow, turns right onto JFK Drive with a turnaround near the De Young museum, then returns down JFK Drive and finishes on Stow Lake Drive.
Parking is not permitted on JFK Drive; parking is most available around Stow Lake. Financial assistance for registration is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
