Renfro Rock 'N Run Half Marathon / 5K
The 14th Annual Renfro Rock 'N Run takes place in Renfro Valley in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. The event includes a half marathon and several 5K options held on the same date and uses roads through Rockcastle County.
The route passes rustic cabins, runs alongside a lake, and goes through local farmscapes. The event is connected with the Rockcastle Regional Countywide Stride run/walk series and is a national Program of Excellence Award winner.
An 1980s music costume theme is part of the event experience; participants are invited to wear era-appropriate music costumes. Student entries are available in two formats, one including a shirt and eligibility for age group awards and one without a shirt or awards eligibility.

- 5K - Student Strides (no shirt, no awards); registration opens 2026-05-01 and closes 2026-10-24; fee $0.00.
