Fairview Baptist Run For Missions
The Fairview Baptist Run For Missions is a running event held in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. It takes place on a Saturday in May.
The event includes five different participation options.
- A paid 5K Run for participants aged 19 and over.
- A paid 2 Mile Walk for participants aged 19 and over.
- A Free Student Strides 5K Run for participants aged 4-18; no event shirt is included with this free registration.
- A Free Student Strides 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk for participants aged 4-18; no event shirt is included.
- A Shirt Only purchase option.
Paid participants who register before a specified deadline in late April receive a free event t-shirt. After that deadline, shirt availability is not guaranteed. There is a family discount for four or more participants.
Awards are given to the top male and female finishers overall. There are also age group awards for the 5K run across many categories, from 12-under to 80+. The top three male and female walkers receive awards.
For students, the event is part of a larger "Student Strides" program. Students aged 4-18 can participate for free. Those who complete at least seven races in the 2026 series receive a gift card and a custom t-shirt at the end of the series.
