Remember The Fallen 5K
The 11th Annual Remember the Fallen 5K is presented by the South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1. The in-person 5K walk/run takes place at Riverdale Park, 2000 E 24th Street, Sioux Falls, and follows the Sioux Falls Bike Trail. Packet pickup will be available at the Law Enforcement Center, 320 W 4th Street, on May 15.
A virtual 5K option is available for participants who prefer to complete the distance elsewhere. Virtual participants must complete the 5K during Police Week, May 15 to May 20, and submit their results by May 20. Participants in the virtual race are not eligible for awards.
Registration for both the in-person and virtual options opens on November 25, 2025 and closes on March 29, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. The event is organized to remember law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to acknowledge those who continue to serve and protect their communities. The timing of the event coincides with the end of National Police Week, a period designated to honor peace officers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
