Redwood (Spring) Trail Run
The Redwood (Spring) Trail Run takes place in Oakland, California, with the event base located at the Chabot Space & Science Center on Skyline Blvd. Participants run through the scenery of Redwood Regional Park, following a course that utilizes established trail networks within the park boundaries.
The route includes sections along the East Ridge and West Ridge trails, which provide views of the surrounding landscape. Runners also pass through groves of tall coastal redwoods as the course winds along the Stream and Bridle trails. All course distances are verified for accuracy using a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel.
The event offers a variety of trail race distances to choose from:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 5 miles
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 30K (18.3 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- 50K
In addition to the primary trail races, there is a 50-yard dash specifically for children aged 6 and younger. Separate registration categories are available for youth participants in the 5 mile event and for adults accompanying children in the 5K. The terrain consists of regional park trails, including ridgelines and forested valley floors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
