The Red, White and Blue Half Marathon is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and is presented in multiple editions and locations. The listing shows a Houston edition on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the University of Houston (320 N Main St, Houston, TX 77072) and a Sugar Land edition on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Brazos River Park (18427 SW Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77479). Courses are typically held in parks and on green belts and may include paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Courses and maps are subject to change for reasons such as park construction or flooding. Packet pickup is offered on race day for 1.5 hours before the start. The shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. The race proceeds in all weather conditions.
Race format, services and awards
- Kids Dash - ~50-meter dash, for kids 10 and under.
- 2 Mile - untimed event; includes shirt and medal.
- 4 Mile - chip timed; age group awards; overall trophies.
- 8 Mile - chip timed; overall trophies and age group awards.
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - chip timed; overall trophies and age group awards.
All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. The 4-mile, 8-mile, and half marathon offer overall trophies for male and female winners; masters (40+) receive special recognition pins. Standard age-group awards are given to top finishers in multiple age brackets from 10 and under through 70+. Aid stations are provided on course; snacks and bottled water are available at the finish. A volunteer-then-run option is offered for the 4-mile distance and is limited to the first 15 signups. Full volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
