Halloween Half Run
The event is scheduled for October 31, 2026 at Bower Ponds Outdoor Stage, 4707 Fountain Dr, Red Deer, AB. Runners follow river trails and may run in costume; the best costume wins a free race entry.

- 21.1 km (half marathon)
Entry includes a commemorative finisher medal and a bib with chip timing. The course is well marked and features on-course water stations and energy food. Finish line provisions include bakery snacks from Cinnzeo, water and cold beer. An optional long sleeve shirt is available for 29 $.
Due to construction, the course is an out-and-back along the river's north paths starting from Bower Ponds. Aid stations will have filled water cups and gels; portable toilets will be stocked with hand sanitizer. Timing uses a chip; chips not returned may incur a 75 $ charge.
Current entry fees: 5 km 55 $, 10 km 65 $, half marathon 21 km 79 $. Prices increase April 13. No refunds, deferrals or transfers are available. Free parking is provided at Bower Ponds.
