REAL LIFE 5K/10K
This event on 09/12/2026 takes place at the Real Life Center, 16765 Lookout Road, Selma, TX 78154. It offers timed and non-timed options over certified distances on a course that includes asphalt, loose sand-like clay, and grass turf.
Distances:
- 10 km (6.2 miles) competitive run, chip timed
- 5 km chip-timed run and a 5 km fun walk that is not chip timed
Chip timing is provided for the competitive 10K and for the 5K run. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Fundraisers who donate $25 or more receive a performance running hat.
Awards are offered for the competitive runs: overall male and female winners and overall masters, plus five-year age-group awards for the first three men and women. Age-group awards are determined by chip time; overall winner awards are determined by gun time. Awards will be presented after the 5K award ceremony for the 10K, and athletes must be present to collect awards. The event enforces course cutoffs for safety: the 10K has a two-hour cutoff, the 5K has a 1 hour 30 minute cutoff, and the fun walk has a 1 hour 25 minute cutoff.
