Event overview
The REAL LIFE 5k/10k 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Selma, TX. The event offers the following distances:
- 10K (run or walk)
- 5K Run (chip-timed)
- 5K Fun Walk (not chip-timed)
The course uses the racetrack at Retama, including the turf track. The event provides a certified 5k/10k course and professional competitive timing by IAAP. Competitive divisions will receive 5-year age group awards by gender, and all course finishers receive custom finisher medals. A post-race celebration with a DJ and on-site announcements are planned. Registration for the listed events shows no entry fee.
Location and logistics
Place: The Real Life Center, 16765 Lookout Road, Selma, TX 78154. Packet pickup includes an early pickup (to be determined) and on-site pickup on race evening at the Real Life Center. No strollers or dogs are allowed on the course. All proceeds support Real Life Community Outreach, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that operates a food pantry and other local programs.
