REAL LIFE 5k/10k 2026 : Selma, TX
The REAL LIFE 5k/10k takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at The Real Life Center, 16765 Lookout Road, Selma, TX 78154. The event uses the turf racetrack at Retama Park Racetrack, allowing participants to run or walk on the same course as the racehorses. The event offers multiple distance options:
- 10K Run or Walk
- 5K Run (chip-timed)
- 5K Fun Walk (not chip-timed)

The event fields certified 5k and 10k courses and uses professional timing services provided by IAAP. Competitive divisions include age-group awards in five-year bands by gender, and all course finishers receive custom finisher medals. Packet pickup includes an early pickup option (TBD) and on-site pickup on race day at The Real Life Center. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course. Proceeds benefit Real Life Community Outreach, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) that supports food assistance, vocational training, and children’s programs; all event proceeds support the organization’s charitable work and its food pantry. A challenge grant from the Anderson Charitable Foundation will match qualifying new or increased sponsor gifts and participating fundraisers.
