REaDy to Run 5K Run/Walk, Atlanta (April 18, 2026)

REaDy to Run 5K Run/Walk is a community 5-kilometer event held in Atlanta with both an in-person and a virtual 5K option. The event is described as family-friendly and open to men, women, and children. The physical venue is listed at 180 Interstate N. Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339.

All proceeds benefit Girls of Excellence (GOE) and Hope Floats Foundation. GOE supports young people through field trips, conferences, workshops, cultural activities and mentorship. Hope Floats provides scholarships and tuition assistance for swim lessons for children living in poverty. The event is sponsored by the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

The course is USATF-certified and includes many flat sections with a few gentle slopes; it is noted as a qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Event rules state no strollers or pets on the course. A time limit for the 5K is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Electronic timing is provided using RFID chip-to-chip timing and results are published live.

Virtual participants may run or walk a 5K during the race week and receive a finisher medal by mail prior to race day. In-person participants receive race bibs, event apparel (short-sleeve T-shirt or tank), a finisher medal, and free race photos. Registrations are final and non-transferable.
