RBC Race for the Kids began in New York in 2009 and has expanded into a series of more than 25 events worldwide. More than 525,000 participants have raised over $84 million for youth charities. The event’s charity partner is Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; MSK Kids is the pediatric program referenced in event materials.
The run course begins on East Drive near East 69th Street, continues north on East Drive, turns left on the 102nd Street Cross Drive, then left onto West Drive heading south, and finishes when runners turn left off West Drive onto the 72nd Street Transverse. A walk course is listed as coming soon.
Event logistics include bib and shirt pickup at the NYRR RUNCenter featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street on several dates in April prior to the event, and race-day number pickup and bag check at Race-Day Central near the Naumburg Bandshell.
