Event details

The VCP50k takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Bronx, NY (6087 Broadway, 10471). The event is a 50k ultramarathon founded in 2023. Registration opens December 31, 2025, and the entry fee is $125. Race packet pickup is available on race day. Full information is provided to registered entrants about one week before the event.

Course and logistics

The course begins with an initial lap of the flats followed by ten loops of the classic cross country course. The route includes some rocks and roots, but they are not plentiful. Overall elevation gain is about 2,200 ft. Aid stations are fully stocked with water, Gatorade, salty and sweet snacks, and fruit. Participants have access to drop bags; the furthest drop bag point is no more than 1.5 miles from any point on course. Finishers receive custom medals, a limited edition singlet, a hot meal, and a cold beer. Overall winners receive a trophy and cash. Course record: 3:58:49 (2024).
