Event details
The Raleigh Run for Rare 5K is scheduled for March 28, 2026, at Lake Crabtree Park in Morrisville, North Carolina. The National MPS Society will host a timed 5K run and a 1 Mile walk. Packet pick-up and day-of registration will be available on the event day. A picnic for attendees and volunteers is planned to take place after the race. The event also offers a virtual participation option that lets participants choose their own location and complete the 5K at any time leading up to March 28.

Event fees listed by the organizer include: $35 for the in-person 5K, $30 for the in-person 1 Mile Walk, $40 for the virtual 5K or 1 Mile Walk, and $10 for picnic-only attendance. Registration opens December 1, 2025. In-person runners are guaranteed a shirt for the first 300 registrants. Virtual runners who register by February 23 will receive a shirt in time.
