Event overview
The National MPS Society will host the Raleigh Run for Rare on March 28, 2026 at Lake Crabtree Park in Morrisville, NC. The event includes a timed 5K run, a 1 mile walk and a virtual 5K option. A picnic for attendees and volunteers and an awards presentation are scheduled after the race. The event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. Participants are invited to share photos from their routes using the hashtag #MPSAwareness.

Registration and fees
Listed fees include a $35 entry for the 5K, $30 for the 1 Mile Walk, $40 for the Virtual 5K, $10 for picnic-only admission, and a $25 student pricing option. Packet pickup and day-of registration will be available. In-person registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt for the first 300 entries. Virtual participants who register by February 23 will receive a shirt in time.
Course
The 5K course consists of two laps. The 1 mile walk follows the 5K, and awards will be given after the race. Sponsorship tiers are offered at multiple levels with varying benefits, including logo placement on event shirts and website recognition.
