Run 4 the Health of It in Durham
Run 4 the Health of It is the inaugural 5K community race held at Hillside High School in Durham on March 21, 2026. The event combines a timed road race with family-oriented activities and community services.
The race awards cash and gift prizes to the overall male and female winners and recognizes the top three finishers in each age group; winners must be present to collect prizes. Registered participants receive a premium dry fit T-shirt and a race bib, which includes a Trio and Beverage provided by Mr. A's Beignets. Post-race amenities include complimentary five-minute shoulder or foot massages.
A Racers’ Village features local vendors such as Fleet Feet, Black Cap Ginger Brew, and Lavish Soap Box among others. The Red Cross will run a blood drive during the event.
Following the race, the 4th Annual Black Family Wellness Expo is offered free of charge. The expo program lists health screenings, panel discussions and workshops, a Kid Zone with games and face painting, food trucks, line dancing, and additional family activities.
