Event Overview
Ella's Race is a running event held in Raleigh, North Carolina. It honors the memory of Ella Newmiller, a child who passed away from a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumor. The proceeds from the event support The Cure Starts Now foundation, which funds research into pediatric brain tumors and cancers.
Distances
Participants can choose from three race distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration and Fees
Registration fees increase on set dates. An event t-shirt is available for separate purchase during registration.
Awards
For the 10K and 5K races, awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. The overall male and female winners also receive a separate prize. Age group awards are presented to the first male and female finishers in multiple categories.
Pre-race Details
Participants can pick up their race bibs in advance on Friday at two specified locations in Raleigh to avoid lines on the morning of the event.
