Rainbow Run 5K – Twin Cities Pride
The event on June 28, 2026 includes an in-person 5K and a Kid’s Rainbow Dash, with a virtual participation option. The 5K course starts at BF Nelson Park and follows the parade route to finish at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. The Kid’s Rainbow Dash covers two blocks on Hennepin Avenue from 11th to Spruce. Spectators may watch and cheer along the parade route.

A free shuttle service runs between the race start and finish. Participants who drive are advised that parking is available near BF Nelson Park and at the MCTC parking ramp; the ramp entrance is on 16th.
Registration options include in-person and virtual entries. In-person 5K registration includes a t-shirt and a medal for $46; virtual 5K registration includes shipping for $55. The Kid’s Rainbow Dash in-person registration includes a medal for $20. Bib and t-shirt pick-up is scheduled for June 23 at the Pride Cultural Arts Center, 1201 Harmon Pl, Suite 104, Minneapolis. A community Shakeout Run/Walk is scheduled for June 22, starting at the Pride Cultural Arts Center and running two miles through Loring Park and the Sculpture Garden; attendees can pick up bibs there.
Proceeds support year round programming such as Rainbow Wardrobe, youth scholarships, youth game nights, a Trans and Intersex Resource Network, and free community meals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
