About the race
The Twin Cities Pride Rainbow Run is a community running event held on June 27, 2027, in Minneapolis as part of Twin Cities Pride. It includes a 5K race and a kids Rainbow Dash along the parade route, with both in-person and virtual participation options.
- 5K 5 kilometers along the parade route
- Rainbow Dash two-block kids dash on Hennepin
The 5K starts at BF Nelson Park (434 NE Main St, Minneapolis, MN 55413) and follows the parade route to finish at MCTC. The Rainbow Dash runs two blocks on Hennepin Avenue from 11th to Spruce. Starting locations are listed for each distance.
Registration options for the 5K included both in-person and virtual entries; 5K registration included a t-shirt and a medal, and virtual entries included shipping. The Rainbow Dash was offered as an in-person kids event with a medal. Participants could create teams or fundraise individually; proceeds support Twin Cities Pride year-round programs such as Rainbow Wardrobe, Youth Scholarships, Youth Game Nights, the Trans & Intersex Resource Network, and Free Community Meals.
Event logistics noted free shuttle service between the race start and finish, recommendations to park at the MCTC Parking Ramp (entrance on 16th) for finish-line parking, and neighborhood parking near BF Nelson Park for start-line parking. Bib and t-shirt pick-up was available at the Pride Cultural Arts Center, and a pre-race shakeout run was organized. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
