Ragnar Trail Vermont : Individual Races, July 10-11, 2026
Ragnar Trail Individual Vermont is a weekend trail running event held at Ascutney Outdoor Center in Brownsville, VT (449 Ski Tow Road). The event offers single-run and timed ultra formats on a network of singletrack, switchback trails and ski runs that pass through woods, rolling hills and open fields with scenic views.
Course features include technical singletrack, switchbacks, ski-run climbs and downhill sections. The full course is listed as 11.8 miles with a total course elevation gain of 2,172 feet; elevation gain for any participant depends on the number of loops they complete. The single Yellow Loop covers 5 miles with 810 feet of elevation gain and rises to the trail system’s highest point before descending into open fields.
Event camping is centered at Ragnar Village near Mt. Ascutney. Village amenities and weekend offerings include campfires and s'mores, music, yoga, food trucks, Ben & Jerry’s, finisher medals and shirts, partner samples, and on-site festival activities. Teams may choose a nearby hotel room for an additional fee. Weather notes indicate daytime highs around 75–85°F and cool overnight temperatures near 50°F.
