About the race
The Rotary Club of Greater Nassau hosts the fourth annual Race to the Future, a community 5K fundraiser in Yulee, Florida. Proceeds will support education and family services in Nassau County, with funding priorities that include assistance for homeless students through the Families in Transition program, a winter break book program for second graders on the west side of the county, and trade school scholarships for local high school students. In the previous year the Rotary provided over $1,500 in direct assistance to Families in Transition, supplied 230 books through the winter program, and earmarked more than $5,000 for non-four-year training programs.
The event is staged at Yulee Middle School and uses a new course that starts and finishes at the school. Race packet pickup is scheduled at the Wildlight YMCA on the day before the event; the Y is located at 251 Breezeway Street, Yulee, FL 32097.
